My First Post!

After much hemming and hawing, I've finally taken the 5 minutes out of my busy schedule to start the blog that I've been mulling over for weeks. No wait, OK, I'll be honest, mulling over for months.

At first I thought it would serve to promote my business. Well I decided against that, and decided to share my limited thoughts with the world on a personal basis.

The next decision was-how much to reveal of myself? I love my privacy. And being a technical dinosaur who is somewhat past my teenage years, I do not have an inclination towards living part of my life in the public eye that teens these days seem to thrive on-if Singapore Idol is anything to go by. So I'll start conservatively and decide along the way how comfortable I am revealing details about myself. Not least of course, due to the fact that one can't be too careful with security and all that sort of stuff.

And after I logged on to Blogger, using it for the first time, I was confronted with yet another decision. What to call my blog. I was stumped for a few seconds and decided on the Daily Dharma. I'm a student of Buddhism whenever I can find the time, and have found a great deal to think about from the philosophy of this great man. (well, that's a few nuggets of personal information already. Must watch myself closely.)

A few more key strokes later, I was surprised how easy it was to start my own blog. One simply selects a template, and off you go.

So, here I am, with my very own blog.

Hello, blog. Hello, world. Please be kind, I am only here to explore and express my humble thoughts.
